How to Book

Bookings are available for new client referrals for the following services:

  • Psychology consultations – appointments available from next week (note: a limited number of new client sessions are available).
  • Mental Health Clinical Nutrition & Exercise Phsyiology consultations – Pre-appointment intake assessments available immediately; with practitioner appointments available from early October.

Booking considerations

Christmas/New Year closure

Thrive Wellness offices will be closed from 23rd December 2024 and re-open Friday 10th January 2025.

Limited psychology appointments may be available during this period by advance agreement & pre-booking with your practitioner, and will be subject to the following conditions:

– Advance payment (which will be held as credit against your account) is required by Thursday 19th December. If payment is not received, your appointment will be cancelled.
– After midday on 20th December, any requests to cancel or reschedule your appointment during our closure period must be communicated via reply SMS to appointment reminders only. (Appointment reminders will be sent 3 days before your scheduled appointment).
– Cancellation/non-attendance fees will apply as follows: Less than 24 hours notice provided = 100% appointment fee; less than 48 hours notice provided = 50% appointment fee. Where more than 48 hours notice is provided by SMS reply to appointment reminder), please advise if you’d like your payment refunded or kept in credit for you to use for your next appointment. Please note that refunds can only be processed after the office re-opens on 10th January, and may take up to 7 business days.

Are you seeking services for legal or court-related purposes?

Thrive Wellness practitioners do not have specialist training in the discipline of forensic psychology. The techniques and tools used for court assessments are a specialist area that is beyond the competence of generalist psychologists.

If you are seeking psychological services for legal or court-related purposes, use the Find a Psychologist search engine on the APS website, or speak to your GP or solicitor for recommendation on a forensic neuropsychologist that would be a good fit for you: https://psychology.org.au/find-a-psychologist.

For appointments taking place at our clinic location:

  • Hand-washing, and social distancing is required by all persons.
  • If you’re sick, stay home. Patients, their dependents, or their support persons, who have cold or flu symptoms are not able to attend the practice in person.
  • Patients may be required to wear a mask from time to time, depending on public health advice for local areas.

Creating a Fragrance-Free Environment for a Positive Healing Experience

Thrive Wellness is dedicated to providing a comfortable and inclusive space for all our patients. We strive to foster an environment that promotes optimal well-being and respects the sensitivities and health needs of everyone who walks through our doors.

We request you don’t wear perfumes, colognes, or strongly scented products when visiting our practice. We understand fragrances can trigger adverse reactions or discomfort for individuals with sensitivities, allergies, or respiratory conditions.

By moving towards a fragrance-free environment, we aim to create a safe and welcoming space where all patients can feel at ease during their appointments. This initiative helps us support those who are sensitive to scents and enhances the overall therapeutic experience for everyone involved.

Additionally, we ask that clothing carrying the smell of cigarette smoke is not worn to appointments. Chemicals released from cigarettes get trapped into clothing and can be problematic for individuals with sensitivities or respiratory concerns.

We understand that certain scents and smells can hold personal significance or cultural importance, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a fragrance-free environment. Your support in this matter allows us to prioritize the health, comfort, and well-being of all our patients, enabling us to provide the highest quality of care.

Alternative access arrangements available for all patients:

Our services and supports are accessible via Telehealth (phone or online video) consultations for all patients. Patients do not need to provide a reason to access Telehealth services. This option provides all clients the choice to access our supports from the comfort of their own home without needing to comply with safety or other considerations of in-clinic consultations. It will also enable those clients who would like an appointment but are unable to attend due to cold or flu symptoms, transport barriers, babysitting challenges or other access difficulties, to still receive supports and services.
